Fugro Robertson Taps Insight Earth from TerraSpark Geosciences for 3D Seismic Interpretation 

 

Insight Earth to support Fugro Robertson’s geoscientific teams with best-in-class seismic interpretation productivity

 

HOUSTON, TX & BOULDER, CO – FEBRUARY 17, 2011 – TerraSpark Geosciences, LLC announced today an agreement to provide three-dimensional seismic interpretation software to Fugro Robertson Ltd., a UK-based member of the Fugro companies and a recognized global leader in geosciences consulting and technical services for oil and gas exploration companies.

 

Fugro Robertson has secured TerraSpark’s Insight Earth® seismic interpretation platform, including Insight Earth Base, Insight Earth Structure, and Insight Earth Stratigraphy.  Fugro Robertson’s geoscientific asset teams will use Insight Earth to streamline and improve efficiency for various North Sea interpretation workflows, with a particular focus on improving stratigraphic insight.

 

Particularly relevant to stratigraphy workflows, Fugro Robertson can leverage Insight Earth’s Domain Transformation™ tool to remove 3D image structures to produce a unique stratal-slice volume that significantly improves productivity in several areas, including imaging of depositional systems, faster and better quality stratigraphic analysis, and identification of viable prospects more quickly.
