Using our own breakthrough software, Insight Earth®, the TerraSpark Interpretation and Consulting team offers both onsite and offsite seismic interpretation consulting services, including structural and stratigraphic interpretation, velocity model building and well path planning.
Our interpreters assist clients in solving problems in shale resource plays:
- Mapping the major structural elements with unparalleled accuracy and clarity
- Finding and mapping micro-fractures
- Illuminating the specific acreage positions and best reservoir conditions to focus your early drilling efforts for maximum production, maximum reserves
- Delineating the shale facies change – the “sweet spot”
- Performing the well path planning to avoid major faulting and plan the geosteering needed to remain in zone
With our Salt Velocity Modeling Toolkit, we help customers:
- Rapidly capture of the entire salt sediment interface using Surface Wrapping™ and Surface Draping™
- Accurately define salt overhangs and complex salt sediment interfaces using multi-z capability
- Rapidly create a “mask” of the captured Salt body and insert salt velocity, then merge it with the sediment velocity model (outside the salt) to provide a complete velocity model for input to depth migration
Where there are poorly imaged salt geo-bodies, we can also:
- Use multiple seismic attributes to provide a stopping condition when the salt sediment velocities are approximately equal and therefore do not generate a good reflection in the amplitude data. This stopping condition then provides an excellent, rapid, and detailed shape of the salt geo-body.
- Create sub-volumes in the time and depth domain to employ different attributes as salt sediment interfaces reflections change character with depth, the capture the salt bodies in these different sub-volumes
- Mask these different levels of the salt geo-body and then merge them all together for one complete model of the entire salt geo-body
